Rho Beta Chapter receives the Chapter Key Award 2013

Chapter Key Award recipients are recognized at each biennial convention. The Chapter Key Award, established in 1991, honors STTI chapters who excel in chapter-related activities such as: Membership recruitment and retention; publicity and programming; professional and leadership development; local, national and international collaboration

  • August 7, 2015 Chapter Meeting

    The Rho Beta Chapter will meet at the Mission Inn in Riverside California for lunch at 12 noon on August 7, 2015. Hope to see you there!

  • RHO BETA INDUCTION Ceremony

    The annual RHO BETA Chapter of STTI Induction Ceremony will be on May 17 , 2015 from noon to 2 pm in the Santos Manuel Student Union Building on the CSUSB campus

  • Coachella Valley Rescue Mission (CVRM) Christmas Angel Project

    Please RSVP Marzena at richm312@coyote.csusb.edu if you would like to participate in this Christmas Project. You will receive the name, age and gift request for a child at the CVRM . We will deliver the wrapped gifts to the CVRM the first week in December.

  • Annual Business Meeting

    Our annual business meeting will be on May 31st, 2pm at the San Bernardino campus. Agenda includes voting for new officers and planning for next year.

  • Global Nursing Outreach presentation

    The Rho Beta chapter once again thanks Michelle Kerns Kiprop for coming to present on her work in Kenya! Her stories were vibrant and various: from makeshift incubators, deworming and removing chiggers to the tough lessons of birthing a breech baby. It was an inspiring and enlightening presentation. We look forward to collaborating with her as volunteers in the next couple of years!

  • February Meeting

    The next Rho Beta Chapter meeting will be held in the CSUSB Nursing Department (Feb 22, 9:30 am) and is featuring a guest speaker, Michelle Kiprop, a family nurse practitioner who has been practicing in Kenya for the last 5 years.

  • Resume Ready

    STTI, Rho Beta Chapter is hosting a free resume workshop for ALL CSUSB nursing studentson November 16, 2012 from 9am-11am in the Nursing Department. Area nurse managers and instructors will be available to give you vital information about resume/curriculum vitae improvement, job advancement and career development. Drinks and small snacks will be provided.

  • 18th Annual Region 2 Joint Chapters Research and Innovations Conference Award Winners

    "GIVE BACK TO MOVE FORWARD: A CALL TO ACTION" was held November 1-2, 2012 in Ontario. Special "CONGRATULATIONS!!" to Rho Beta/CSUSB award recipients: Dr. Ora Robinson, 3rd place Creativity Award and Brijesh Patel, 2nd place Research Award for his graduate research poster. Great work!!!

  • Leadership Forum

    Leadership Forum was held in Indianapolis, Indiana this past week. Pamela O'Connell and Chris Johnson were in attendance. It was an informative and motivating event for the attendees. The "Hot Topics" of discussion were service, DNP vs PhD education, incivility in nursing and chapter member involvement. STTI treated the attendees to a lovely atmosphere, great food and dynamic speakers. A big congratulations to Chris Johnson for receiving the STTI Grant to attend this years event!!!   • Rho Beta Chapter Meeting

    Our next meeting will be held at the Palm Desert Campus on Friday, September 28, 2011, 09:00-11:00 in the Nursing Department. Please make an effort to participate in the meeting for organization of the upcoming events!

  • Coachella Valley Heart Walk

    Please click on the Rho Beta Palm Desert team page and join the team as a volunteer!
    Nancy Wolf has chosen to make a difference by being a Team Captain for the Coachella Valley Heart Walk and the Rho Beta Chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She is creating a team of walkers and would be honored if you would join her!

    Of great importance, the Rho Beta Chapter will conduct blood pressure screenings during this event. Please email Nancy Wolf at nwofrn@aol.com if you are able to help during this event. Set up for the event is 7 am on October 27. The Walk ends at 12 noon. She would greatly appreciate any amount of time you are available to help with the blood pressure screenings. Please join her team Rho Beta Palm Desert to help at this event.

  • 2012 IE Heart Walk

    Sigma Theta Tau, Rho Beta Chapter is in need of 10 Student members to volunteer at the Inland Empire Heart Walk for the American Heart Association on Oct 12 & 13, 2012. Orientation for the event will take place on Friday, September 7th from 3:30-5:30 pm at AHA Office located at 1700 Iowa Avenue, Suite 240, Riverside, CA 92507. Please consider providing your services to this noteworthy event.   • "Care 4 a Healthy IE" (Inland Empire)

    On June 22, members of the Rho Beta chapter volunteered at the huge health fair in San Bernardino, where many lined up to get a free check-up with a doctor, get dental care, and even acupuncture! Students joined professors Asma Taha and Paula Spencer to conduct health histories and get vital signs from the many who lined up.
